Many condominiums have employees, such as superintendents or cleaning staff. In order that all employers understand their obligations under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, (ESA) and as important, that employees know their rights, all workspaces must conspicuously post an Employment Standards Poster.

This poster is available in languages other than English, and should be posted to accommodate the request of the employee.
If your Condominium Corporation has employees, it has an obligation to comply with the Employment Standards Act, 2000. Failure to post and distribute this version of the poster may amount to a violation of this Act, which could result in an Employment Standards Officer taking enforcement action.
The Employment Standards Act, 2000 is the provincial legislation in Ontario that prescribes certain minimum standards that must be adhered to in the workplace. It applies to Condominium Corporations which are employers (and other provincially regulated employers).
If you are unclear if your Condominium Corporation is required to comply with the ESA, you should contact your condominium Property Manager, or the Ministry of Labour.
